Today marks the launch of our Contact Lens Recycling Programme. As a team we are very aware of the importance of being kind to our environment and like to do our bit when it comes to recycling. Research tells us that 20% of contact lens wearers admit they dispose of their lenses by flushing them down the toilet or the sink! Our new Recycling Scheme contributes to reducing plastic waste in landfills and oceans by providing a practical alternative.

We’re inviting anyone who wears contact lenses (especially daily disposables) to collect their used lenses, the plastic containers they come in as well as the foil tops and bring them in to our recycling station here in the practice. Anyone can come in and recycle their contact lenses here, there’s no requirement to be a patient with us and any brand can be recycled. Let’s do our bit together for the environment.
